Practical infos

Wanderlust was conceived as a leisure and entertainment platform and has housed Paris’s most vibrant multi-faceted urban space since 6 June 2012. A far cry from the traditional cultural institution, it is a new kind of space, where nothing is set in stone, everything is in perpetual motion and where creative worlds come together through enjoyable and interactive experiences.

Situated under the stars on a 1600m² terrace, the levitation zone, designed by the multidisciplinary architect firm Jakob + MacFarlane, fulfils the original aim of making Wanderlust a space all about discovery and freedom. As a continuation of the concept already featured at the Cité de la Mode et du Design, the architects created a new, versatile urban space. Like a barge with a building protruding from its decks, the interior features a restaurant and a club on an area of 386 m². The interior space, with its many windows and light and open feel, offers commanding views of the Seine, and spills over onto the terrace, while connecting the club to Boulevard d’Austerlitz.
